It gives us immense pleasure to announce that on Thursday,
14th of January, at 3 pm volunteers of Ammucare Charitable Trust
(ACT) conducted our first humanitarian initiative in West Bengal
– blanket distribution in The Bhankhet Manovikas School,
Sonarpur (outskirts of Kolkata).

Having received all the details
and photos from our Delhi team,
am so happy that the moment has finally come when I can share
with you the experience of Blanket Distribution on Nov 8th,
9th and 15th.
This year indeed marks a milestone
in the ACT(s) of selfless service, which we hope will continue
growing exponentially, not only in India,
but across the globe. Initial contact has already been
established with like minded people in Kenya and Peru - let us
see where the flow of divine grace will take Ammu's smiling
face (and all that it represents)

Blanket Distribution - 2008, New
Delhi, India
Blanket Distribution has reached an unprecedented momentum! More and more
people are coming on board, extending their helping hand and supporting
this selfless ACT/expression of Love in action!
Below is the
account of the dates and venues of Blanket Distribution for
2008:
November 9th,
2008 (Ammucare Day) – 1st round of Blanket Distribution and
annadaan(Poor feeding) conducted in Guruvayur Temple Premises by
the Delhi team.
November 13th,
2008 – 2nd round in Dwarka in Delhi. For the first time,
school children will be involved in conducting the distribution
of blankets and food! Great job Delhi team!
16th November,
2008 – 3rd round of Blanket Distribution in a poor Old Age
Centre, in Delhi.
4th December,
2008 – 4th round, for the first time in Madgaon, Maharashtra
– will be conducted by our Delhi and Mumbai team .

Food Provisions
Distribution to Premasai Balabhavan Palakkad, India
Under the auspices of Ammucare Charitable Trust, food provisions
costing about Rs. 1800/- were handed over to Premasai Balabhavan,
an orphanage run by the Premasai Charitable Trust, Puthur,
Palakkad, on 19 March, 2008. Mr. A.S. Harish and his sister Mrs.
Saritha Sathish of Annakkodu House, Panayur-Athicode, Via
Chittur, Palakkad district, were the donors. The occasion was
the conclusion of the rites in connection with the demise of
their father. Mr. Vijayabhasker, Secretary of the Premasai
Trust, formally accepted the provisions. Dr. P.K.Namboodiri,
President and Mr. T.R.Asok, General Secretary of Ammucare , Mrs.
Kamalam Aravind, Treasurer of Premasai, the inmates of the
Balabhavan and Ms. Visalakshi, their ¡mother¢, were present.
Provisions donated included rice, sugar, rava, tea dust and
coconuts.
