Its Happening
Everything is happening. Questions are happening. Answers are happening. Birth happens. Death happens. Love happens. Hate happens. Thoughts happen. Everything happens. Where is the one who provokes these questions, answers, births, deaths and thoughts? Where is the one who knows everything? Where is the Guru, the teacher? When did the first question arise in any mind? Where did the answer appear from? When did the questions melt into answers? When did we free ourselves from questions and answers? When can we free ourselves from births and deaths?
Brimming with questions, men walk their life. Step by step. There is nothing he can do to change his past. The past has already happened. The present is happening. The future depends on how he uses his present. So, future is uncertain. Past is dead. Future is yet to be. All we have is the Present.
Many people have entertained similar thoughts. Many such thoughts have conglomerated into events. Many thinkers were blamed for leading the thought process of generations. Yet, we could do nothing about it. Thinkers happened. Thoughts happened. Thoughts gathered words and sounds. People listened. Some thoughts were selfish, well camouflaged in beautiful words. This led to greed, enmity and wars. It led to sufferings. Yet, only history could tell that those thoughts and words were grossly selfish. History got the last laugh at the foolishness of mankind.
Some thoughts were benevolent. Yet, sometimes they did not find the right words, voice or mouth to travel. So, none heard the words of wisdom. They got dispersed in the crowded world of bizarre sounds.
On the other hand, some were able to hear those subtle, narrow voices and transformed themselves to attain the highest in one lifetime, while their cousins pursued "likeable and lovable" words and continued with their pursuit of elusive happiness and peace. None bothered. Trial and error were considered as the law of life, which we are supposed to follow. "This is the right path". Thus ignorant preached and gave solace to the ignorant. All were happy. In our prescribed world, what else could we do?

Then came the loud-mouthed wise men. They uttered alien truths. Truths alien to the ignorant. Intangible truths. Truths that cannot be counted in terms of money. Their loudness and seeming madness were intolerable to the great mass of "sleeping population" of every era. When their sound increased day by day, when changes became inevitable, they destroyed the source and went back to their sleep. A peaceful sleep after a job well done!!!. This is the nature of our world, the world that we live in. We destroy what we cannot gather!!! We ridicule and make fun of those who choose to walk alone or those who carve their own paths.

Thoughts evolved through time and people. Words evolved through time and people. Imagination and greed evolved too. We became funny people. We learned to sell everything that we have, even our integrity. We learned and accepted that it is fine to sell our spirituality too. The aim was, as always, materialism. So, the usual cross over from materialism to spirituality or existing in spirituality - detached from materialism while enjoying it, was well compromised, as greed for sales took root. The buyers are the insecure people. The sellers are also insecure. The medium of sale is through creation of fear over this life and the next life.
Fear binds people together. Fear blinds people from the immediate obvious. Fear takes people to the extremes. Using fear as the tool for conquering ignorant people, the new age gurus created programs. Some created tantric objects, claiming to ward off evil and earn wealth. The world became a transactional-spiritual mad house. Everything is business. Everything is transactional.

Self proclaimed Gurus churned out programs one after the other to keep ignorant people busy and maintain the artificial comfort of escapism from the scorching heat of everyday life. Mental imageries of enlightenment and liberation kept the mass well established in a fool's paradise.

Number of courses attended became the criteria of spiritual elevation, just like the usual academic supremacy. Unwanted knowledge strengthened ego. It took men further from God. Yet, it extended their vocabulary and social status. So, for some, it was worth it. It also gave them the community effect or feeling. It was worth to be in a cult, because the artificial comfort was worth the sacrifice. Thus, people jumped from frying pan to fire or vice versa. Same wine. Different bottles. All well packed. All displayed in the right light. Very attractive!!!! Some teachers read all sorts of books and created variety concoctions, suitable for everyone, right from a new born till one in his deathbed!!! Ancient wisdom - made to order!!! Good for all!!! Everyone gets his shot!!! Results guaranteed!!! Enlightenment Guaranteed!! ! Pay more for faster enlightenment!!! Etc, etc. We are indeed existing in a tragic era!!!

This is the naked picture of today's spirituality. Unless we see through the masks of these teachers, we will be rotating around the wrong guide our whole life. Nobody can own wisdom. It existed well before we existed. We are only using our antennae to decipher the meaning of the ever existing wisdom. We are only interpreting the age old wisdom in the current environment. We never invented words, we never invented the knowledge also. Our role is limited. So, beware. Be aware of words, thoughts and action.
Right from the Adi Guru - Lord Shiva, all the saints have told one great and golden truth. It is THROUGH BEING that we attain God. It is not by doing.

So, if you are a veteran who has completed 100s of various programs, it means nothing. It perhaps only displays your insecurity. By being in your Self and doing relentless Selfless service will definitely take you to the highest. By doing many sadhana (spiritual practices) and preaching about it or boasting about it will only keep you well established in your ego as well as the karmic cycle of birth and death. It is not going to get you liberation. Liberation is in non-doing. This is the feeling when we have it, but do not need it. We stay liberated from it. That mindset has to happen.
Karma gets exhausted by being in the present all the time. By being with every thought, word and deed, all the time. Karma needs to be exhausted through time and corresponding action, thought or word. The same way we created karma, we need to exhaust karma too. There is no short cut. Be well aware of that. Mantras and increased awareness checks the creation of more karma. Conscious awareness also destroys the emotions attached to action which aids liberation.
Tying a rope is easy. Untying is difficult. The same way, unconscious living fills our hard drive with wanted and unwanted data that really clog our life. The whole system slows down as data becomes jumbled up or un-decipherable. Unclogging becomes essential. Cleaning up the hard drive from unwanted data is essential. So, we should be very careful as to what we input into our hard drive.

We have the freedom of choice. But, using that freedom in the most careless way and later complaining about a confused existence should not happen. This is so because you created your own destiny!!! You attracted those realities into your life. Be aware of that.

One more thing. Do not keep complaining that you "missed the bus." I ensure you that, if you were supposed to catch that bus, you would have caught it. Guaranteed. We cannot change the master symmetry. We as individuals are not changing anything from the master plan. We are only expressions of the master plan. So, if we take ownership about anything - even "missing the bus", it is only our wrong understanding. Likewise, if someone else is blaming you "because of you, we could not catch the bus", that is also utter foolishness. It was not part of the master plan that all of you would have caught the bus! Do not buy into any such blame. You are not at fault. I guarantee you about that also. This is one fundamental principle that we must always remember.

I wish you great wisdom to see through the masks of the world. Consider it all as expressions of ignorance. The one who knows needs nothing, even words or appreciation from others. He will be beyond all such pretensions. Be well aware of that also.

Finally, understand that all of us are passing through this existence called life. Do not give over-importance to our small steps as well as seemingly large terrestrial or spiritual achievements. Just be grateful. Just love all. Especially, please take care of the helpless beings of the world. You will have eternal peace and supreme strength.
